Last weekend , me and my hub were going to Malacca for our food hunting trip. The food which selling in Malacca is much more delicious and cheaper than in Singapore. In Singapore, we might spend $150.00 for one Nyonya authentic cuisine but in Malacca we can eat 2 to 3 meals for the similar cuisine , it would be based on what kinds of food you order. We did not really traveled all places of Malacca but we spent all of our time in Jonker Street. There are nice food, nice souvenirs to buy and nice people. We shopped for our souvenirs at the first day. We bought a lot of local tit bits and plum lime juice which is hardly to buy in Singapore. Before we go to Malacca, my hub did research about the place and we did manage to eat most of the food we want., which included Asam laksa(it taste similar with the Penang Asam Laksa but I still prefer Penang AL), Durian Cendol and original Cendol ( I think this is the best), chicken rice ball and Nyonya Kuih(Dessert) All of the places we went were highly recommended by other bloggers.
Food Directory:

All of the food stalls located at Jonker Street, except the layer cake
Souvenirs :
Local Food -- 三叔公(san shu gong)
Nyonya Kuih -- Baba charlie ( Jalan Tengkera, 75200 Melaka, Malaysia) ( This place is hardly to find, so when you drive please alert of the road, because it is located inside a small road and the Baba Charlie sign board is super small)
I think there are so many souvenirs shops at Jonker Street. So no worry about that.
